PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery block and a battery module which have high rigidity and can be made lighter.SOLUTION: A battery block 100 comprises: a plurality of battery cells 20 aligned with a spacer 3 interposed therebetween; end plates 10 arranged at respective ends in the alignment direction of the battery cells 20; and a cooling plate 40 which extends in the alignment direction of the plurality of battery cells 20 and are arranged on one surface of the plurality of battery cells 20 so as to be capable of conducting heat. The cooling plate 40 has: a thick portion 44 extending in the alignment direction of the plurality of battery cells; and a cooling through-hole which is a cavity in the thick portion 44 and through which a coolant flows.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
