A transmission system (10), especially for a motor vehicle, having around an axis (O) at least an input shell (12) that is rotationally connected to a driving shaft and to a drive web (18) in order to rotationally connect said input shell (12) to a double wet clutch mechanism (20) that is controlled to selectively couple said driving shaft to a first driven shaft (A1) and to a second driven shaft (A2), said double wet clutch mechanism (20) having at least a first clutch (E1) and a second clutch (E2) respectively of the multiple-disc type, each of said first and second clutches (E1, E2) having at least one axially movable piston (30, 90) that is controlled as to displacement by means of a control chamber (32, 92) with which is associated a compensating chamber (48, 108) delimited at least by a compensating piston (50, 110), said piston (30, 90) causing axial clamping, in an engaged position, of a multiple-disc assemblage against reaction means (60), said multiple-disc assemblage having at least friction discs (64, 114) rotationally connected to an external disc carrier (66, 116) and flanges (76, 126) that are rotationally connected via at least one internal disc carrier (80, 130) to one of said first and second driven shafts (A1, A2), wherein the drive web (18), the internal disc carrier (80) of the first clutch (E1), the internal disc carrier (130) of the second clutch (E2), and said reaction means (60) interposed axially between said internal disc carriers (80, 130) are separate parts; and said double wet clutch mechanism (20) has connecting means (85) arranged axially between the pistons (30, 90) of the first clutch (E1) and of the second clutch (E2) which, for direct transmission of input power, connect at least the separate parts together with zero axial clearance.
