The invention provides a nutrient quantity calculating device which uses a simple operation to calculate the quantity of a nutrient in a foodstuff, and a refrigerator equipped with the same. The nutrient quantity calculating device 10 is provided with a measuring instrument 12 which weighs and captures an image of a foodstuff 16, and a mobile terminal 24 which, for example, estimates the type of the foodstuff on the basis of information input from the measuring instrument 12. The measuring instrument 12 is primarily provided with: a weighing unit 14; an image-capturing unit 18 and an illuminating unit 20 disposed above the weighing unit 14; and a control unit 22 connected to the weighing unit 14. By means of such a configuration, the nutrient quantity calculating device 10 is capable of calculating the quantity of a nutrient contained in the foodstuff 16 placed on the measuring instrument 12, and presenting the calculation result to a user.
