According to the idea of the present invention, the refrigerator of the present invention comprises: a main frame having a storage chamber; an ice maker for making ice; and an ice bucket for storing the ice made by the ice maker. The ice bucket comprises: an ice bucket body; an ice storage space formed in the ice bucket body; and an ice separating member for separating the ice from the ice bucket body toward the ice storage space to secure the flow path of the cold air. Thus, the cold air can smoothly flow in the ice bucket. As a full ice level sensor, comprising an emitter for emitting a light signal and a receiver for receiving a light signal, is placed in an ice chamber where the ice bucket is mounted, the reliability of the full ice level detecting can be improved. A control unit, which determines when the full ice level is reached by receiving an output value of the light signal received from the full ice level sensor, does not terminate the ice making cycle immediately when the full ice level is determined to be reached by a primary full ice level determination, and conducts a secondary full ice level determination after waiting for a certain time and finally terminates the ice making cycle when the full ice level is determined to be reached by the secondary full ice level determination. Therefore, the reliability of full ice level detection can be improved. |
