PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device in which solid-state imaging element's rolling shutter method is arranged so as to suppress the variation in power source fluctuation in rows by a simultaneous reset action, to suppress the influence on the quality of an image, and to reduce the power consumption.SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: pixels arranged like a matrix; a vertical scan circuit for sequentially reading out signals from the pixels for each row; and a solid-state imaging element capable of mixing together pixel signals belonging to the same column. When mixing and reading out pixel signals, the imaging device performs a controlled activation so that a pixel reset action executed with a timing concurrently with an action for reading out the pixel signals is sequentially performed in rows, and the change in the number of pixels simultaneously reset per column is made no more than a predetermined number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
