A display device comprises a display panel and an optical plate. The display panel comprises a surface comprising a display area and a non-display area, the display panel further comprising a bending portion that is bent and a non-bending portion that is not bent. The display panel comprises: a base substrate, an array of pixels formed over the base substrate, and electrically conductive lines disposed over the base substrate and electrically connecting the array of pixels to an exterior device, the electrically conductive lines comprising at least one extension formed in the bending portion and overlapping the non-display area when viewed in a thickness direction of the display panel. The optical plate is disposed over the display panel, and comprises: a first optical plate portion covering the display area, and a second optical plate portion covering the at least one extension of the electrically conductive lines.

a display panel comprising a surface comprising a display area in which an image is displayed and a non-display area in which the image is not displayed, the display panel further comprising a bending portion that is bent and a non-bending portion that is not bent, the display panel comprising:
a base substrate,an array of pixels formed over the base substrate, andelectrically conductive lines disposed over the base substrate and electrically connecting the array of pixels to an exterior device, the electrically conductive lines comprising at least one extension formed in the bending portion and overlapping the non-display area when viewed in a thickness direction of the display panel; and an optical plate disposed over the display panel, the optical plate comprising:
a first optical plate portion covering the display area; anda second optical plate portion covering the at least one extension of the electrically conductive lines.
