The present invention uses a combination of a plurality of authentication methods to ensure safety, while reducing the load on the user side as much as possible. The authentication method of the present invention comprises the following steps: a step for acquiring a first authentication performance value for each transaction on the basis of initial input information at the time of the transaction; a step for determining whether or not additional authentication is necessary to authenticate the person, by comparing the first authentication performance value and a preset authentication performance threshold necessary for authentication of the person; a step for providing, if additional authentication is necessary, a plurality of authentication methods from which either a single authentication method or a combination of the plurality of authentication methods can be selected so as to satisfy an additional authentication performance value acquired using the authentication performance threshold and the first authentication performance value; and a step for acquiring a second authentication performance value on the basis of information additionally input using the single authentication method or plurality of authentication methods selected from the provided plurality of authentication methods, and determining authentication by comparing the second authentication performance value and the additional authentication performance value. |
