The invention relates to a rotor (10) for a generator (1) of a power plant and to a generator (1) comprising a rotor (10). The rotor (10) comprises a rotor body (12) in which slots (15) are formed for guiding conductors (22). Conductors (22) are guided in the slots (15), which conductors protrude beyond the rotor body (12) at one end (23), in particular an end face (18), of the rotor body (12), and which are connected to one another in a connection region (25). At least one heat-conducting element (26) is provided, which dissipates heat from the connection region (25) into a region of the rotor (10) that is subjected to less thermal load.
