PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method capable of surely generating a job management unit without transmitting an unnecessary acquisition request.SOLUTION: A device, which generates a job management unit for accumulating jobs which are processed by a job processing unit and requesting processing of the accumulated jobs to the job processing device, includes; a detection unit 70 that detects whether or not a predetermined function provided with the job processing device is valid by communication with the job processing device; a deletion unit 71 that, if the detection unit 70 has detected that it is valid, deletes a description defining an instruction to obtain configuration information of the job processing device which is contained in a file describing information of the job processing device; and a generation unit 72 that generates the job management unit by using the file or the file from which the description has been deleted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
