Provided is a flat heat pipe having reduced container distortion, exceptional compatibility with an operating fluid such as water, and exceptional airtightness in a void part having a wick structure. A flat heat pipe having a container in which a cavity is centrally formed by two plate-shaped bodies facing each other, and an operating fluid sealed in the cavity, a wick structure being provided to the cavity, wherein: at least one of the plate-shaped bodies is a composite member in which two or more types of metal members are laminated to form an integrated entity; the metal member of the composite member forming a layer in contact with the cavity has a heat conductivity of at least 200 W/m·K and the metal member of the composite member forming a layer in contact with the exterior has a heat conductivity of no more than 100 W/m·K; and the outer periphery part of the cavity is sealed. |
