This gas sensor 1 is provided with: a sensor element 2; a plurality of electrode springs 3 that are in contact with electrodes 21A, 21B of the sensor element 2; an insulator 4 that holds the plurality of electrode springs 3; and a plurality of lead wires 5 that are connected to the electrode springs 3. Each electrode spring 3 comprises: a hold part 31 that is held by the insulator 4; and a contact part 32 that is bent from the hold part 31 so as to incline toward the front end side of the sensor element 2 along the longitudinal direction L, and is in contact with the electrodes 21A, 21B in an elastically deformed state. Each electrode spring 3 also comprises a fold part 33 between the contact part 32 and the hold part 31. This fold part 33 constitutes the base end of the contact part 32, and is directed toward the base end side of the gas sensor 1 along the longitudinal direction L. Consequently, the length of the sensor element in the longitudinal direction is able to be reduced, and heat resistance of the electrode springs is increased. |
