<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for foam molding with both high closed pore rate and moderate stiffness, and further capable to get a biodegradable resin foam. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition for foam molding includes an olefinic resin 3 and compatibly treated starches by a supercritical carbon dioxide reverse phase evaporation method. The starches are preferably at least one selected from the group consisting of starch 1, etherified starch and esterified starch.
