A portable power-driven hand tool is operated by a flexible shaft 17 and comprises a cone clutch 5, 10 engaged by gripping a hand lever 14 acting through a plunger 18 and springy pressure plate 19 against a release spring 13. The end of shaft 17 is connected by a splined joint 24 to the shaft 2 carrying the clutch element 10, and the pressure plate 19 may be adjusted by a screw 19a to vary the clearance between the clutch elements. |
