A roller for attachment to a vehicle comprises a roller having a frame 12, the frame having an attached roller drum 16 rotating about a axis A. The roller further comprises a hitch member 28 for connection to the vehicle, the hitch member defining a hitch point 15 at a first end and connected to the frame in a pivotable manner with a rotation axis B at a second end. The roller can be changed, by relative rotation of the frame and hitch member about rotation axis B, from a rolling configuration where the rotation axis A is substantially perpendicular to the hitch member, to a stowed configuration where the rotation axis A is not substantially perpendicular to the hitch member. The frame may include a pivot arm 36 connected to the frame in a pivotable manner such that it can rotate about a rotation axis C and a tie bar 66 pivotally connected to the pivot arm. Also disclosed is a method for changing the configuration of a roller. |
