The invention relates to a milling machine for carrying out correction wooden plugs used in the process for improving the quality of the sawn timber by replacing black and loose knots in the sawn timber with cylindrical correction wooden plugs chamfered on an edge and having a thickness of 9 mm, said machine using as raw material some wooden disc blanks carried out by cutting, by means of a circular saw, some tree branches of the same species of wood as the sawn timber to be qualitatively improved. The claimed machine comprises a cast iron frame () clamped with some screws to a working table (), on the frame there being mounted an electric motor () which drives a centrally drilled shaft () by means of two gins () and a drive belt (), on said shaft there is mounted a milling cutter () provided with a cutting tool () for chamfering at an angle of 45°, and at the inner side of the shaft () a cylindrical rod () pushed downwards by a compression spring () may be axially moved without friction, the disc blanks () being pushed towards the milling cutter () by means of a structure () for guiding and supporting a cylindrical rod () and a compression spring (), for hand actuation there being used a hand lever () while for foot actuation there being used a lever system (). |
