Disclosed are a cell identification method and device for a narrowband wireless system, a cell identification signal sending method, and a base station device. Content of the method comprises: a user equipment searches, on a set frequency interval, for an identification signal of a narrowband wireless system, the identification signal being used for identifying a frequency band resource location of the narrowband wireless system; the user equipment determines the frequency band resource location of the narrowband wireless system according to the found identification signal; and then, the user equipment searches for a cell identification signal of the narrowband wireless system on the determined frequency band resource location of the narrowband wireless system. In this manner, the number of times of searches in cell identification in a narrowband wireless system can be reduced, and the cell identification efficiency of a user equipment in the narrowband wireless system can be improved. |
