PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organ retractor that enhances accessibility to an abdomen and pelvic area in the surgery without impairing a patient's safety.SOLUTION: An organ retractor 10 comprises one or two or more anchors 10 and an elongated member 14. The elongated member can be connected with the anchor. The elongated member and the anchor are configured to produce force acting on mesentery. This force is sufficient enough for retracting a patient's intestine to the upper part of a patient's abdomen. When a patient is slightly in an inclined posture, the mesentery is pulled in an upper abdomen by the dead weight of the organ retractor. Intestines are connected with the mesentery, so that the device directly pulls up the intestines. A minor angle can become unnecessary. The mesentery and the organs connected thereto are retracted in the lower abdomen in the reverse direction, and can facilitate a surgical access to the upper abdomen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
