Thermal-energy generator device based on a continuous strip of amorphous metal included between two plates that may be made from different materials. It is used to generate thermal energy, being able to transfer heat to other devices directly by conduction or by convection to closed, domestic, commercial or industrial heated environments. Aside from general aspects, unlike the majority of metals, which are crystalline and therefore have a highly ordered arrangement of atoms, amorphous alloys are not crystalline. Materials in which a non-ordered structure of this type is produced directly from the liquid state in the course of solidification are called "glasses", and therefore amorphous metals are commonly referred to as "metallic glasses" or "glassy metals". In addition to extremely rapid solidification, there are various ways in which to produce amorphous metals, including physical vapour deposition, solid-state reactions, ion implantation, melt spinning and mechanical alloying. The characteristics of an amorphous metal: its ability to heat up with a very low electrical consumption when moulded as thin strips of metal, which is the ability used to produce energy with low consumption of electricity. Thermal-energy generator device that is capable of transferring said energy by conduction or convection for different uses with low consumption of electrical energy that is formed, aside from the general - size, geometry, spatial disposition - by two plates (1) securely joined together, between which is contained a strip of amorphous metal in the form of a coil (2), the electrical connection means being connected to the strip of amorphous metal. The device is constructed with levels of control of temperature and safety devices with the aim of making it safer and regulated in terms of its thermal-energy generator function. This allows maintenance requirements to be minimized. |
