A compound valve is provided with: a body having inlets for first and second heat media, an outlet for the first heat medium or the second heat medium, an inlet for a third heat medium or a fourth heat medium, outlets for the third and fourth heat media, and a valve chamber; a circular cylindrical valve body having in a side surface thereof openings for allowing the heat media to flow into the valve body, the circular cylindrical valve body also having therein a partition member extending in the longitudinal direction; and a motor for regulating the rotational angle of the valve body. The valve body is rotated by the motor to cause the inlet for either the first heat medium or the second heat medium and the outlet for either the third heat medium or the fourth heat medium to be in communication with openings in the side surface of the valve body, thereby causing the two heat media having different characteristics to flow adjacent to the partition member within the valve body. The areas of the inlet and an opening, which are in communication with each other, and the areas of the outlet and an opening, which are in communication with each other, are controlled by the rotational angle of the motor to control the flow rate. |
