摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of inserting an inner inspection unit into a nuclear reactor vessel while preventing emission of radioactive matter from the nuclear reactor vessel to the outside with a small size and light weight.SOLUTION: An insertion device 10 is a device for air-tightly connecting a through-penetration 4 which communicates with a nuclear reactor vessel 1 to insert an inner inspection unit 24 inside the nuclear reactor vessel 1 for checking the inside status thereof through the through penetration 4. The insertion device 10 includes: an ejector nozzle 11 that ejects a gas into the nuclear reactor vessel 1 with a pressure higher than the pressure inside the nuclear reactor vessel 1, and which has an intake port 22 for allowing the inner inspection unit to be inserted therethrough and for in-taking ambient gas while injecting the gas; a gas bomb 12 for supplying the gas to the ejector nozzle 11; an ON-OFF valve 14 disposed between the ejector nozzle 11 and the gas bomb 12 for opening and closing a flow channel connecting the ejector nozzle 11 and the gas bomb 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
