A secure authentication method based on a voiceprint characteristic, the method comprising: upon receiving a voice acquisition instruction, a terminal acquires to-be-measured voice data recorded by a user; extracting a voiceprint characteristic of the to-be-measured voice data to obtain voiceprint characteristic information; and according to the currently extracted voiceprint characteristic information and pre-stored voiceprint characteristic information, authenticating the identity of the current user.
