<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a load on a capacitor when a high-voltage battery fails in a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle (1) includes: an internal combustion engine (11); a motor generator (20) receiving torque from the internal combustion engine or a drive shaft and capable of generating electric power by a back electromotive voltage; a high-voltage battery (24) capable of performing discharging/charging to/from the motor generator; an auxiliary machine battery (26) capable of performing discharging to an auxiliary machine (27); and a voltage conversion means (25) connecting the high-voltage battery to the auxiliary machine battery and converting the voltage of the high-voltage battery to the voltage of the auxiliary machine battery. A control device (100) for the hybrid vehicle includes a first determination means (101) for determining whether or not the high-voltage battery is abnormal and a setting means (102) capable of setting a target of an electric storage remaining amount in the auxiliary machine battery.
