A centring mechanism for an oscillating member which pivots about a centred position in performing a control function, for instance, comprises an oscillating member 12 pivoted on a frame 10 and having a handle 14 and pins 26 and 28 which are urged downwardly by a centring member 30 tensioned by a spring 32 which is also attached to the frame 10. Stops 22 and 24 adjust the position of member 30 and a chain 18 connects the oscillating member 12 with a sprocket 16. The member 12 slides in slots 34, 36 to restrain outward movement. |
