A method for providing reduction gas for iron ore reduction by cooling and dry dedusting generator gas produced in a melter gasifier for pig iron production, as well as a device for carrying out such method, are provided. The generator gas may be cooled both by water injection and by heat exchange after it has been discharged from the melter gasifier and before a dry dedusting thereof. |
