A work tool assembly 1 for a work machine, e.g. a digger, comprising a lifting hook 5, a work tool apparatus 3 such as a quick coupler or a bucket, an engaging means for enabling a releasable engagement of the hook 5 with the work tool 3, and a securing means for securing the hook 5. The engaging means comprising a plug and socket arrangement wherein a shaft 13 protrudes from the surface of the work tool 3, and an aperture 37, adapted to communicate with the shaft 13, is disposed on the surface of the hook 5; or vice versa. The securing means preferably comprises a second aperture 39, of smaller cross-section that the first, conjoined with the first aperture 37, and a stop portion 15, preferably of disk shape, provided on the shaft 13; the stop 15 sized such that is may be received by the first aperture 37 whilst also being of larger cross-section than the second aperture 39. A blocking device 43 for insertion into the first aperture 37 may also form part of the securing means. Independent claims are also provided for the work tool apparatus 3, lifting hook 5 and locking device 7 individually. |
