PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl acetal resin that achieves both a high percentage of vinyl ester groups and a high percentage of vinyl acetal groups, and is free from aldehyde or catalyst residues.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a polyvinyl acetal resin with a percentage of vinyl ester groups of 20 mol% or more, a percentage of vinyl ester groups of 30 mol% or more, and aldehyde residues of 50 ppm or less, and with no catalyst residues.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
