The present invention relates to a chair with a vertically rotatable backrest. The present invention has a rotary coupling unit (200) enabling a backrest (120) to be vertically rotated by a predetermined angle on a support frame (130) in accordance with pressure applied to the backrest (120) in the chair (100) where a seat (110) and the backrest (120) are installed on the support frame (130) forming an overall framework, respectively. The present invention comprises: a fastening unit (171) where a coupling unit (121) having an inner coupling groove (122) integrally protrudes toward both side surfaces of a back surface of the backrest (120) and an insertion groove (172) is formed on one end to be inserted into and coupled to the coupling groove (122) of the coupling unit (121) to be penetrated by and coupled to a hinge bolt (190); and a rotation coupling member (170) inserted into and coupled to an upper end of the support frame (130) through an insertion end (170a) formed on the other end. According to the present invention, a rotary coupling unit (200) comprises a spring type spring member (180) composed of a plurality of first and second spring members (180a, 180b) vertically arranged and inserted and mounted between the coupling unit (121) and the fastening unit (171). |
