PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience of a user when an object is detected by a sensor by enabling telephone conversation between a camera and a portable terminal.SOLUTION: In a monitoring camera system 5, when detecting an intruder, a human sensor 40B sends sensor detection information to a host machine 10. The host machine 10 sends a request to transfer image/voice data to a monitoring camera 30. When a smartphone 50 receives an operation designated from a monitor, the host machine 10 sends the image data transferred from the monitoring camera 30B to the smartphone 50. The smartphone 50 displays the image data sent from the monitoring camera 30B on a touch panel 503, and when receiving a tap operation on a mute icon 53, sends a signal to request the start of telephone conversation. The host machine 10 transfers the signal to request the start of telephone conversation from the smartphone 50 to the monitoring camera 30B.
