PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring board display device and method for displaying a monitoring board with excellent visibility on a display panel of a portable terminal so that a user can watch the monitoring board in a place and time when necessary.SOLUTION: There is provided a monitoring board display device including either of an area display mode of displaying a selected area on a monitoring board, an area position image display mode of displaying which positions on the monitoring board a plurality of set display areas are located at, a tile display mode of displaying monitoring board images of the plurality of set display areas in a tile-like manner in vertical and horizontal directions, an abnormality notification mode of displaying, when abnormality occurs, a monitoring board image of an abnormality display area including facilities and equipment where the abnormality has occurred, or a playback display mode of playing back past data.
