This invention is configured so as to provide a polarization switching unit (2) that, while temporally switching the polarization of a laser beam that is output from a transmitting light source (1), outputs a laser beam in the direction corresponding to the polarization. It is thus possible to transmit, in two visual line directions, a laser beam having no decrease in power, without mechanically scanning the laser beam.
