A fluoropolymer coated film includes a polymeric substrate film and a fluoropolymer coating thereon. The fluoropolymer coating includes a fluoropolymer and a compatible cross-linked adhesive polymer. The polymeric substrate film comprises functional groups on its surface that promote bonding of the fluoropolymer coating to the polymeric substrate film.
