The present invention relates to a cleaner and a device for collecting dust applying the same which has an improved structure to prevent an outflow of dust or damage of a device for collecting dust which is opened and closed to separate dust. According to an embodiment of the present invention, in a cleaner which comprises a dust collecting device to separate dust from the air, the dust collecting device comprises: a dust collecting case which comprises a dust discharging hole opened to discharge the collected dust; a discharging cover coupled to a side of the dust collecting case to open and close the dust discharging hole; and a sealing member to be sealed when the dust discharging hole is closed, by being extended from the inner side of the dust collecting case to a coupling surface of the dust collecting case while being in contact with the dust collecting case. |
