摘要 An arc-quenching device of switch comprises a plurality of metal plates (22) which are fixed in parallel on a supporting frame (21) and each of the metal plates (22) comprises at least one groove (221, 221') and said groove is U-shaped (221) or L-shaped (221'). Each of the metal plates (22) may comprise one or more U-shaped groove (221) and/or one or more L-shaped (22Gamma) groove. The profile (2211) or the groove (221, 221') is semicircle or arc and the depth (2210) of the groove (221, 221') is equal to or bigger than the interval between two metal plates (22) in an arc chute. The horizontal position of vertical part of the L-shaped groove (221') depends on the direction of the horizontal component of the electromagnetic force on the electric arc. The arc-quenching device may further comprise an insulation plate (25) made of polycarbonate between each two near phases of the switchgear. An SF6 switch comprises the arc-quenching device as described above. The SF6 switch or switchgear with the arc-quenching device is able to break higher current. It can pass the transfer current test of 2200A successfully at 12kV.
