The present invention relates to a reducer of an auxiliary electric power steering apparatus. According to an embodiment of the invention, the reducer of an auxiliary electric power steering apparatus comprises: a worm shaft of which one end is coupled to a first worm shaft bearing and connected to a motor shaft, and of which the other end is coupled to a second worm shaft bearing; a gear housing which supports the first and second worm shaft bearing, wherein a worm shaft and a worm wheel are embedded; and a clearance compensation element which is compressed and coupled between the gear housing and the second bearing, and which comprises: a bearing support unit which supports the second worm shaft bearing, a housing support unit which supports the gear housing, and an elastic restoring unit which connects the bearing support unit and the housing support unit and becomes compressed when coupled to the gear housing to provide a restoring force to support the worm shaft in the direction of a shaft and a worm wheel, thereby compensating for a clearance caused from increased abrasion of the worm and worm wheel. |
