<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of regulating a belt skew without applying a load on an end portion of a belt member. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: an endless belt member 21; an opposite rotor 22 arranged oppositely to an outer periphery of the belt member 21; and a nip forming member abutting on the opposite rotor 22 through the belt member 21 and forming a nip portion N between the belt member 21 and the opposite rotor 22. A recording medium carrying an unfixed image is made to pass through the nip portion N between the belt member 21 and the opposite rotor 22 which rotate, thereby fixing the unfixed image on the recording medium. When the belt member 21 moves from a predetermined position to one side in an axial direction of the opposite rotor 22, at the nip portion N, an angle speed ω2 of a belt on the opposite side of the movement is made to be faster than an angle speed ω1 of the belt on a traveling direction side of the movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
