1. A device for implantation comprising:
a heart valve prosthesis; a porous member formed of a porous material defining pores,
the porous member defining an outer surface having an inflow side and an outflow side opposite the inflow side, the outer surface defining at least one injection site,the porous member comprising an internal channel having a lumen configured to selectively maintain an injectable pharmacological agent,wherein the outflow side includes a plurality of release holes in addition to the pores of the member, each of the release holes extending from the outer surface to the internal channel,wherein the release holes are sized to allow release of the pharmacological agent, and a size of the release holes is greater than a size of the pores,wherein the pores are located on the inflow and outflow sides,wherein the release holes do not extend to the inflow side, andwherein the at least one injection site provides access to the internal channel from the outer surface for injecting the pharmacological agent into the internal channel; and a fabric sheath encompassing the porous member. |
