A brushless direct current (BLDC) motor comprises: a stator (2) and a rotor (5). The rotor includes: a shaft (20); first and second end plates (40, 50); a plurality of cores (70) arranged between the first and second end plates; a plurality of magnets (60); and a housing (30). The cores are evenly spaced from each other in the circumferential direction. A space is formed between neighboring cores (70). Each space receives one magnet. The magnets (60) are magnetized in the circumferential direction for side surfaces of the magnets to have corresponding polarities. The housing (30) is manufactured by a magnetically permeable material, and surrounds and covers radial outer ends of the magnets and cores. |
