摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium silicate compound that raises capacity of a lithium ion battery using a positive electrode active material obtained by substituting a part of LiMnSiOwith an Al element, and the lithium ion battery using the same.SOLUTION: A lithium silicate compound is obtained by substituting at least a part of metal elements constituting LiMnSiOwith an Al element. The lithium silicate compound has a similar crystal structure to LiMnSiOand a diffraction angle 2&thetas; of 32.5-33.0 of a maximum intensity peak of a powder XRD measurement pattern measured under a condition of using a CuKα ray. There is also provided a lithium battery or the like using the lithium silicate compound as a positive electrode active material.
