<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly determine use propriety of an external storage medium even when it is impossible to communicate with a server. <P>SOLUTION: A determination program is configured to cause a computer to execute processing of: determining whether the computer can communicate with an authentication device having pieces of registration information concerning use propriety of a plurality of external storage media which can exchange information with the computer, when one of the external storage media is detected; transmitting identification information for identifying the external storage medium to the authentication device when it is possible to communicate with the authentication device; receiving authentication information concerning the use propriety of the external storage device from the authentication device; storing identification information in a storage unit on the basis of the authentication information; and determining the use propriety of the external storage medium by referring to the storage unit if it is impossible to communicate with the authentication device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
