摘要 The present invention relates to a surface modification method for increasing cell activities on an implant material and a TiO_2 layer formed on the surface thereof. More specifically, the dental implant surface modification method is used to execute a surface treatment operation in a nitrogen atmosphere while UV rays are irradiated in order to modify a hydrophobic surface of the implant to a hydrophilic surface without changing the unique physical properties of the implant surface regarding the physically or chemically formed oxide layer, metals, metal alloy, or oxides. The method can also be used to form Ti-N couplings on the implant surface to increase the affinity of proteins and bone cells in order to enhance the initial bone coupling and osseointegration thereof. The method of the present invention can modify the surface of an alloy material to a hydrophilic surface by removing hydrocarbon thereon through the UV rays irradiated in the nitrogen atmosphere for the certain amount of time onto the titanium and titanium alloy materials. The method can also be used to change the chemical properties by forming the Ti-N coupling onto the surface of the nitrogen adsorbed into the surface of the titanium and titanium alloy materials in order to activate the protein attachment and proliferation and differentiation of cells on the surface.
