<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an inclination guide with high accuracy with an appropriate display range, in matching with the magnitude of the roll angle and/or the pitch angle of an imaging device, or rapidly with high responsiveness. <P>SOLUTION: If the roll angle, which is calculated by an inclination calculating means based on detection data outputted by an acceleration sensor, is in the range of 0 plus/minus 5 and plus/minus 60 degrees, as shown in Fig.(a), it is displayed at a location near the bottom of a display screen of an LCD monitor 5 in a lateral direction with a coarse scale, as in a display scale B1 representing a roll angle. If the roll angle calculated by the inclination angle calculation means approaches the horizon such as 0 plus/minus 5 degrees, as shown by Fig.(b), the range is extended automatically, to enable precise eye measurement of the roll angle, as shown by a display scale B2. If the calculated roll angle exceeds plus/minus 60 degrees, the display scale is automatically switched to a vertical state, providing an indication appropriate for taking pictures in a portrait mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
