A wearable device is disclosed. The wearable device includes a sensor which photographs the vein of a user; and a processor which controls the sensor to photograph the vein image of the user wearing the wearable device when a function or application is selected, compares a photographed vein image with a registered vein image to identify the user, and executes the function or application when the user has execution authority.
