The present invention relates to a hollow secondary battery and, more specifically, to a hollow secondary battery capable of quickly discharging heat and gas, generated in the battery, and stably insulating an electrode assembly from outer and inner containers. According to the present invention, the hollow secondary battery comprises: a hollow external container storing an electrode assembly, and having both cross sections opened; a hollow internal container inserted into a central part of the electrode assembly, and having both cross sections opened; and a vent part formed in the internal container, and discharging gas and heat to the outside through a hollow hole of the internal container by bursting if pressure in the battery increases more than predetermined. |
