The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling an emergency call. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling an emergency call in a second mobile device interworking with a first mobile device through a wireless communications network, comprises the following steps: setting a communication channel when receiving an emergency call request signal from the first mobile device through the wireless communications network; converting a current operation mode into an emergency call mode in accordance with reception of the emergency call request signal; and transmitting a predetermined text message informing a pre-designated terminal of an emergency occurrence. Therefore, the present invention allows parents, who senses that an emergency occurs to their child, to forcibly operate a child′s phone through the parents′ phones, thereby enabling the child′s phone to automatically and accurately request rescue to a pre-designated organization and the parents′ phones. |
