The present invention suggests an explosion-proof battery for an electronic cigarette. The explosion-proof battery for an electronic cigarette includes: a battery pack; a battery body embedded in the battery pack; an electronic switch device; a thermistor controlling the connection and disconnection of the electronic switch device; an upper metal component; a lower metal component; and a button. The upper metal component and the button are installed on the top of the battery pack while placed in an upper part of the battery body. The lower metal component and the electronic switch device are installed on the bottom of the battery pack while placed in a lower part of the battery body. The upper metal component is electrically connected with an upper electrode of the battery body. The thermistor is attached to an outer wall of the battery body. The thermistor and the electronic switch device are connected with each other. The lower metal component is electrically connected with a lower electrode of the battery body through the electronic switch device, and the lower metal component is connected with the button in an upper direction through an electric wire. According to the present invention, the temperature of the battery body is conveniently detected and the power output of the battery body is automatically shut down at high temperatures.
