BATTERY MODULE

Disclosed is a battery module which has a simple structure and can be light weighted and miniaturized by removing a coupling part needed between cartridges or reducing the number of the parts, when setting the battery module. The battery module is also excellent in assemblability and can stand strong against shock and vibration. According to the present invention, the battery module comprises: a plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries arranged in a horizontal direction while standing vertically; a plurality of cartridges accommodating the pouch-type secondary batteries in an inner space and reciprocally laminated in the horizontal direction; a lower housing provided on at least one lateral side among the front end side and a rear end side of the cartridge and fixed by being coupled to at least two cartridges; and an upper housing placed on an upper part of the lower housing and fixed by being coupled to at least two cartridges.
