The purpose of the present invention is to reduce the amount of sodium taken in by a user. When cooking foods such as traditional soups or a food with liquid, the user is apt to put a predetermined amount of salt into the food. According to the low-salinity salt of the present invention, even when the user uses the same amount of salt as usual, since the sodium component in the salt is lessened, the user will take in reduced amount of sodium. The present invention relates to a method for producing low-salinity salt by salting a food material. According to the present invention, the amount of salt in components is lowered, and food materials such as roots, stems, leaves and fruits are salted. The salted materials are dried thereafter and pulverized to obtain low-salinity powder. Salt water, released from the food materials due to salting, is refined to produce liquefied salt. |
