Disclosed is a battery module which has small volume and is easy to assemble while exhibiting improved insulating properties. According to the present invention, the battery module comprises: a plurality of cartridges reciprocally laminated each other and further comprising unit frames in which both end parts are interconnected so as to form an inner space thereby; and a plurality of pouch-type secondary batteries accommodated in the inner space of the cartridges and touching an adjacent electrode lead as at least some portions of the electrode lead protrude to an exterior of the cartridge, wherein the protrusion part on the electrode lead is bent at least twice.
