Provided are an apparatus and method for photographing an image. The apparatus for photographing the image of the present invention comprises: an active pixel sensor (APS) array which includes a plurality of active pixels individually including a photo diode and a storage diode, wherein the active pixels are disposed in an NxM array (N and M are natural numbers which are greater than or equal to two); and an image signal processing unit for correcting an image signal outputted by the APS array. The APS array includes the ′N′ number of pixel sensor rows, and the image signal processing unit removes noise of the image signal by using the image signal non-sequentially outputted from the neighboring pixel sensor rows.
