Provided are: a container with which a detachment seal part is readily detached by stress exerted from an inner side of a container main body in a radial direction by internal pressure, and with which the detachment seal part is not readily detached by stress exerted from an outer side during distribution; and a seal bar used to seal said container. A container main body and a lid body for occluding an opening of said container main body are sealed by an annular seal part along a flange of the opening. A detachment seal part (6A) is provided to the annular seal part, in a prescribed place, said detachment seal part being detached as a result of an increase in the internal pressure inside the container main body. A seal bar (30) having, provided to tips thereof, annular protrusions (31A, 31B) corresponding to the shape of the annular seal part, is used to press the lid body (9) against the flange (5), thereby forming the annular seal part. Groove-shaped recesses corresponding to the annular protrusions (31A, 31B) are formed in the flange (5) as a result of the pressing. At least one of the recesses formed in the detachment seal part (6A) is configured as an irregular groove having a cross-sectional shape at an inner side (P1) thereof in a radial direction with a smaller curvature radius than that of a cross-sectional shape at an outer side (P2) thereof in the radial direction.
